課程概述	本課程為銜接大二下學期人類學史（一）的必修課。介紹人類學核心理論的形成、發展，困頓與轉變；比較不同理論、思潮所開展的不同視野。在基礎概念的介紹與討論之外，安排相關經驗研究的閱讀材料，以熟悉概念與資料的連結。第六周以後的角度，涉及多個層面，殖民的結構，原住民族的特殊處境都在人類學的反省潮流中扮演重要的角色，全球化則是一廣泛的力量，挑戰人類學立基的基本假設。台灣的人類學教學與研究都未能置身於外，但作為第三世界的墾殖國家，台灣人類學的發展是內向的，在西方人類學近年自省的趨勢中，有獨特的切點。這一關心集中在第十六週台灣人類學的發展，也納入在第八周，以及第六周之後周次的討論。
課程目標	在學史一的基礎上，熟悉影響人類學學科發展的主要理論取向或議題，以及這些挑戰與台灣人類學研究的相關性。
課程要求	上課同學七人一組，負責小組報告與課堂的分組討論。各組報告選定周次的指定文章，老師補充提醒；特定主題則以老師講授為主。每篇報告擇精要，必須在20分鐘內完成，下課前提供同學報告之書面資料。每一組均需在週日下午五點前提出兩個問題，上傳ceiba供上課時分組討論。共需提出九周次的討論問題。同學可組織讀書會，應有助於理解。TA將不定期的分別與各組同學討論，建議報告的小組先與助教討論，以減輕閱讀的負擔。
